Job Requirements
- Must be able to deal tactfully with staff, residents and visitors
- must be able to follow written instructions
- must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment and appearance of work areas for regular inspection of food service areas for sanitation, safety and proper performance of assigned duties
- must maintain confidentiality of resident information
- must attend required training and education sessions offered by the facility
- may be required to lift, push, pull and move equipment, supplies, etc, in excess of fifty pounds with a team member or by self throughout the workday
- must obtain a Food Handlers Card within one month of hire date
- must have adequate reading abilities to read and understand diet cards, special diet menus and other food service procedures
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Perform wait staff duties during meal times
- greet guests
- offer water and beverages
- receive menu orders
- communicate with the line cook
- deliver orders
- assist residents and guests with dining needs in a timely manner
- clear, clean and set dining room tables to avoid cross contamination
- prepare condiments for daily specials in-house and to-go prior to mealtime
- perform dishwashing and cleaning procedures
- follow safety regulations and established infection control, universal precautions, policies and procedures
- maintain a pleasant dining environment for residents, guests and staff
- assist in maintaining wait staff service area
- dispose of food and waste according to policies
- provide documentation of food and equipment temperatures
- properly label and store food items
- maintain acceptable personal hygiene and comply with dress code
- attend in-service training and education sessions as assigned
