Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field
minimum 5 years experience in food manufacturing operations focused on food safety and quality assurance
certified Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI)
HACCP certification
proven experience working in QC Lab environment
strong understanding of GMP audits
proficient with Microsoft Office
knowledge of regulatory requirements including FDA regulations
experience developing quality control programs
familiarity with Allergen Requirements and Pest Control
strong understanding of CAPA process
excellent communication and leadership abilities

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field
minimum of 5 years of experience in food manufacturing operations focusing on food safety and quality assurance
certified Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) and HACCP certification
proven experience in a QC Lab environment with strong understanding of GMP audits
proficient in Microsoft Office with strong data analysis and reporting skills
in-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements related to food manufacturing including FDA regulations
experience with developing and implementing quality control programs
familiarity with Allergen Requirements, Pest Control, and other food safety considerations
strong understanding of CAPA process and experience preparing Certificates of Analysis (COA)
excellent communication and leadership skills

Job Duties

Oversee and manage all aspects of food safety and quality assurance programs including PCQI, HACCP, Allergen Requirements, and Pest Control
develop and implement quality control programs and preventative measures to ensure product safety and regulatory compliance
manage the QC Lab environment ensuring proper sanitation and adherence to GMP audits
conduct regular reviews and updates of policies and procedures to comply with changing regulations
prepare and maintain line sheets and materials ensuring accuracy and compliance
collaborate with Research and Development (R&D) team to integrate quality considerations into product development
oversee the Positive Release Program to ensure only products meeting stringent quality standards are released
manage the CAPA process to promptly address and resolve issues
prepare and review Certificates of Analysis (COA) and other quality-related reports
utilize Microsoft Office for report preparation, data analysis, and documentation management
ensure compliance with FDA regulations and other relevant regulatory bodies
foster a culture of safety and quality within the organization promoting awareness among all staff
