This position is responsible for meticulously following proprietary frosting recipes and application techniques designed to maintain consistency and excellence in every cake produced. The Froster works closely with other team members to prioritize cake pre-orders, handle walk-in guest requests, and manage the availability of ready-to-serve frosted cakes. The Froster position is hourly and offers compensation starting at $9.50 per hour. Employment is at one of the franchised bakery locations, where team members benefit from a supportive work environment that values punctuality, cleanliness, teamwork, and adherence to strict food safety and quality standards. The Froster’s responsibilities range from frosting cakes using commercial mixers and pastry bags, maintaining frosting inventories, adhering to product rotation and labeling procedures, to contributing to the clean and sanitary state of the bakery workspace.

Job Duties

  • Follows NbC proprietary frosting recipe and application methods with precision and achieves productivity goals
  • Effectively utilizes measuring instruments, commercial-grade or handheld mixer and pastry bag to frost cakes
  • Prioritizes cake pre-orders according to schedule and frosts cakes for walk-in guest orders accordingly
  • Ensures an adequate supply of samples and frosted cakes are available for guests in the bakery display case and maintains appropriate frosting and frosted cake par levels
  • Adheres to the proper packaging, labeling and storage of frosted cakes as well as product rotation standards, and maintains frosting and refrigeration logs
  • Monitors inventory of frosting supplies and notifies management when replenishment is required
  • Evaluates baked and frosted cakes to ensure NbC standards are met and informs management of any quality control issues
