Job Duties
- Obtains and updates patient information
- Schedules patient appointments and assists with patient inquiries
- Collects and posts payments, assists with patient billing questions
- Ensures completion of all encounter documentation prior to check out
- Accepts transfers from other facilities according to established guidelines
- Schedules patients with appropriate provider, answers phones and responds within time frames defined by departmental guidelines
- Obtains complete and accurate patient registration information according to department standards
- Reviews and confirms all registration information is accurate at each appointment and makes any required updates
- Consistently reviews cancellation, displaced patients, and appointment requests worklist throughout the day
- Reviews daily schedules for availability and coordinates with onsite supervisor to ensure providers' schedules are at capacity
- Greets, registers and checks in patients
