The Front Office Receptionist role at One Lakeside Hotel is a part-time position designed for individuals who are master multitaskers and thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments. As the first point of contact for guests, the receptionist plays a crucial role in creating memorable experiences by efficiently managing guest check-in and check-out procedures, including handling room credits, issuing keys, resolving guest concerns, and attending to special requests. The role demands proficiency in the property's management system and communication tools such as PBX and radio paging systems. Additionally, the receptionist supports the Front Office and Guest Services teams by managing financial and service-related tasks, ensuring seamless operational flow. The ideal candidate combines professionalism, discretion, and excellent judgment to effectively resolve guest issues while balancing the guests' needs with business objectives. Furthermore, the receptionist is often responsible for making reservations relating to dining, transportation, activities, and entertainment, contributing significantly to the guests' overall satisfaction. Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
- Ability to use property management systems and communication tools
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to handle cash and operate point of sale systems
- Flexibility to work part-time hours

Job Qualifications

- Previous experience in cash handling and computerized point of sale system preferred

Job Duties
- Possesses a working knowledge of the front desk, efficiently handling the check-in and checkout processes according to hotel procedures and standards
- Be knowledgeable and proficient with the property management system
- Operate the PBX and radio paging system according to procedures
- Establishes appropriate credit at time of guest check-in
- issues room keys and familiarizes guests with the services and areas of the property
- Manages guest issues effectively, keeping in mind both the guest's needs and business objectives
- Use discretion and professionalism in resolving guest conflicts and use good judgement to consult with management if assistance or follow-up is needed
- Conduct adequate follow-up with both guest and fellow team members
- Makes restaurant, transportation, activity, or entertainment reservations on behalf of the guest
