Job Duties
- Greet patients and visitors promptly and courteously in person and over the phone
- Record patient arrivals accurately in the Practice Management System (EMR)
- Verify patient identity and create new patient accounts when necessary
- Manage appointment scheduling and follow up on no-show patients
- Verify insurance eligibility and financial information using facility tools
- Collect patient copays and balances maintaining confidentiality
- Maintain a clean and welcoming reception area
- Respond promptly and effectively to patients in distress or emergency situations
- Follow all policies and procedures and assist with team efforts to achieve operational goals
- Answer telephone calls politely and timely
- Perform other duties as assigned by Practice Manager or Area Practice Manager
