Job Description

Our client is a well-established podiatry practice dedicated to providing exceptional foot and ankle care through a patient-centered approach. Recognized for combining advanced medical expertise with compassionate service, this practice focuses on improving patient outcomes while fostering a supportive and professional environment for both patients and staff. As a respected healthcare provider, the organization prioritizes creating a welcoming atmosphere where patients feel valued and supported throughout their care journey. This dedication extends beyond treatment to every point of patient interaction, especially at the front office, which serves as the primary gateway to care and communication. Operating within a busy healthcare setting, the practice emphasizes teamwork, efficiency, and adherence to all regulatory standards such as HIPAA, ensuring both patient privacy and high-quality administrative processes.

The role of Front Office Medical Receptionist is pivotal in this healthcare team, acting as the welcoming face and first point of contact for all patients visiting the podiatry practice. This position requires a professional who thrives in a fast-paced medical environment and enjoys direct interaction with patients, helping coordinate daily operations that keep patient care on schedule and seamless. The Front Office Medical Receptionist is expected to manage multiple responsibilities including appointment scheduling, patient check-ins and check-outs, insurance verification, payment collection, and electronic medical record maintenance. This role not only demands strong organizational skills and attention to detail but also the ability to deliver excellent customer service, communicate effectively with diverse populations, including bilingual patients, and collaborate closely with both clinical and administrative teams.

Supporting the smooth operation of the practice, the receptionist plays a key role in ensuring that medical documentation is accurately scanned and organized, that patient records are kept up-to-date within the electronic medical record system, and that communication between pharmacies, insurance providers, and referring physicians is efficient and effective. Their responsibilities extend to assisting with specialized tasks such as managing diabetic shoe documentation, maintaining HIPAA compliance, and facilitating productive team interactions through participation in meetings and ongoing training. Given the dynamic nature of the healthcare environment, the ideal candidate must demonstrate adaptability, a solution-oriented mindset, and the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.

Overall, this employment opportunity is designed for someone who values the importance of their contribution to patient care continuity and enjoys working in a healthcare setting that offers both challenge and professional growth. All new hires will undergo an initial 90-day introductory period which allows both the team and the individual to assess fit, performance, and alignment with the practice's values of professionalism, communication, teamwork, and patient-focused service. This role is suited for health-focused individuals who want to be an integral part of a collaborative team committed to delivering outstanding podiatric care.
