Job Requirements

  • A four-year college degree or equivalent education or experience is required
  • two to three years in a related hotel company position
  • discipline-specific hospitality industry knowledge and supervisory experience
  • excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
  • ability to handle cash or credit transactions
  • knowledge of general office equipment and cash register operations
  • ability to stand and move throughout hotel function areas
  • ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • occasional twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, and walking
  • frequent talking, hearing, seeing, and smiling

Job Duties

  • Work with the hotel General Manager to achieve and exceed guest satisfaction scores in all areas of the hotel
  • responsible for satisfaction scores for the front desk operations and address any deficiencies immediately
  • collaborate with corporate training department to develop action plans for guest satisfaction
  • train guest service agents on proper front desk procedures
  • recruit, interview, and select qualified candidates for front desk positions with the General Manager
  • prepare weekly schedules for front office staff
  • address performance deficiencies of front office staff through coaching and disciplinary actions
  • complete performance evaluations for front office staff timely
  • post weekly guest satisfaction scores for hotel associates
  • oversee and manage Front Office to ensure efficient operations and impeccable guest care
  • attend to guest and group special needs and resolve complex problems
  • monitor daily revenue and expenses to minimize loss and maximize profit
  • manage Front Office staff by creating a motivating environment and leading by example
  • ensure compliance with uniform and grooming standards
  • prepare timely and quality reports for corporate
  • monitor and ensure rates accuracy daily
  • manage inventory in the property management system
  • review work generated by the night auditor frequently
  • maintain regular attendance and punctuality
  • uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • perform any other duties requested by supervisor
  • act as Manager on Duty as needed
