Job Requirements

  • Education equivalent to a four-year college degree or relevant experience
  • Two to three years of experience in a related hotel position
  • Proven supervisory experience in hospitality
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Ability to handle cash and credit transactions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Knowledge of general office equipment and cash register operation
  • Ability to stand and move throughout hotel function areas
  • Capability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Availability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • A four-year college degree or equivalent education or experience
  • Two to three years of related hotel company experience
  • Discipline-specific hospitality industry and general hotel department knowledge
  • Supervisory experience in a hotel setting
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Knowledge of general office equipment and cash register operation

Job Duties

  • Work with the hotel General Manager to achieve and exceed guest satisfaction scores in all areas of the hotel
  • Responsible for satisfaction scores for the front desk operations and address deficiencies immediately
  • Work with the corporate training department to develop action plans to achieve expected guest satisfaction scores
  • Effectively train guest service agents on proper front desk procedures
  • Recruit, interview, and select qualified candidates for front desk positions with the General Manager
  • Prepare weekly schedules for front office staff
  • Address performance deficiencies of front office staff through coaching and disciplinary actions
  • Complete performance evaluations for front office staff timely
  • Oversee and manage the Front Office to ensure efficient operations and impeccable guest care
  • Attend to guest and group special needs and solve problems with graciousness
  • Manage daily revenue and expenses to minimize loss and maximize profit
  • Manage the Front Office staff by creating a motivated and empowered team environment
  • Ensure guest service agents comply with uniform and name badge policies
  • Generate timely reports for corporate review
  • Monitor rates daily and manage inventory in the property management system
  • Review work generated by the night auditor frequently
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
  • Maintain high personal appearance and grooming standards
  • Perform any other duties as requested by supervisor
  • Act as Manager on Duty when needed
