Key responsibilities include scheduling and staffing based on occupancy projections and local market demand, ensuring VIP guests receive exceptional personal greetings and attention, and maintaining coordination with the rooms department to guarantee readiness and high levels of service.\n\nThe Front Office Manager also plays a crucial role in overseeing the cleanliness and upkeep of hotel public areas such as lobbies, hallways, and parking lots, working closely with housekeeping and other departments to address any issues promptly. Regular property walkthroughs ensure that all guest areas meet the expected standards, fostering an environment that promotes comfort and convenience. Managing communication and documentation via logs enables seamless information flow across departments to address any operational challenges swiftly. Handling guest complaints sensitively while keeping senior management informed strengthens the reputation for excellent guest relations. Comprehensive knowledge of front desk operations, reservation systems, cash management, and promotional programs is essential to this role. Your involvement will extend to checking in and out guests, managing lunch breaks for team members, and overseeing the smooth daily schedule flow. Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree in hospitality or business or higher preferred
  • previous front desk reservations and/or hospitality experience
  • previous managerial experience

Job Duties

  • be aware of projected occupancy offered rates and demand in the area and schedule and staff appropriately
  • confirm arrangements for Priority Club Guests and VIP's are in place and have a list of all VIP arrivals at hand
  • greet each VIP or similar guest personally
  • ensure that the rooms department team members are ready and implementing legendary levels of service to all guests engaging both staff and guests
  • monitor public facilities of the hotel check bathrooms hallways lobby and parking lot for cleanliness and appropriateness
  • work with the housekeeping staff to make adjustments
  • walk property regularly to ensure all areas are correctly set and maintained for the guest if items need attention ensure that corrective actions take place work with other managers supervisors and line staff
  • maintain a log to record issues and notes for supervisors and department managers to follow through during operations disseminate information from logs to all department managers on a daily basis
  • handle guest problems/complaints keeping General Manager or other Management Leaders informed
  • be knowledgeable of all duties performed by the Front Desk Agents Reservations Agent Bellmen Front Desk Supervisors Night Auditors including computer and cashier systems as well as the reservations system including room rates and types of accommodations
  • be involved at check in and checkout break team members for lunch and overall daily flow of schedule management
  • monitor and maintain all hotel guest programs ie Priority Club Rewards assist in creating other hotel promotions
