The role of Front Office Manager at Holiday Inn & Suites Anaheim Hotel is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing the hotel’s front office operations. This role is crucial in maintaining high guest service standards and ensuring the smooth running of front desk activities in alignment with established brand policies and sustainability practices. The Front Office Manager is charged with managing all aspects of the front office department, including supervising guest services department managers, monitoring financial operations to ensure compliance with accounting controls, and keeping a close eye on guest satisfaction scores to continuously improve the overall experience.

Day-to-day responsibilities also involve recruiting, training, scheduling, coaching, and supporting front office associates to ensure they perform their duties according to both hotel standards and HHM's core values. The manager develops, implements, and monitors departmental budgets and forecasts on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis, making sure the operational goals align with financial expectations. They oversee vendor and personnel contracts related to the front office and ensure efficient use of guest room occupancy to minimize overbooking. Additionally, the Front Office Manager must create actionable plans to address any guest service deficiencies and maintain a safe working environment by adhering to OSHA and safety protocols.

Job Duties

  • Interview select train schedule coach and support associates ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with HHM core values
  • be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction
  • monitor all front office financial operations and ensure front office compliance with accounting controls and procedures
  • develop implement and monitor daily weekly monthly and annual department-wide budgets and forecasts
  • review submit for approval and order capital budget items as required
  • supervise all guest services department managers
  • review correspondence from guests and incident logs and direct staff according to information obtained
  • oversee all vendor and personnel contracts throughout the hotel
  • monitor occupancy of guest room space to ensure most efficient use and minimize overbooking
  • create specific measurable achievable realistic and timely action plans to remedy guest service deficiencies
  • practice safe work habits wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards
  • perform other duties as requested by management
