Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in front office or hospitality management
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office and company-issued software programs
  • ability to apply reasoning to carry out written and oral instructions
  • basic arithmetic skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • capability to interpret business records and reports
  • physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds
  • ability to work indoors with sometimes stressful and fast-paced environment
  • willingness to work flexible hours and handle interruptions
  • commitment to maintaining professionalism and hospitality standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in front office or hospitality management
  • proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and related software programs
  • strong reasoning and decision-making abilities
  • effective communication and leadership skills
  • ability to handle stressful situations and resolve conflicts
  • knowledge of cash handling and credit policies
  • experience with staff training and scheduling
  • ability to maintain professional appearance and enforce uniform standards

Job Duties

  • Participates in the selection of front office personnel
  • trains, cross-trains, and retrains all front office personnel
  • schedules the front office staff
  • supervises workloads during shifts
  • evaluates the job performance of each front office employee
  • maintains working relationships and communicates with all departments
  • maintains master key control
  • verifies that accurate room status information is maintained and properly communicated
  • resolves guest related problems quickly, efficiently, and courteously
  • updates group information and prepares group requirements
  • reviews and completes credit limit report
  • works within the allotted budget for the front office
  • receives information from the previous shift manager and passes on pertinent details to the oncoming manager
  • checks cashiers in and out and verifies banks and deposits at the end of each shift
  • enforces all cash handling, check cashing, and credit policies
  • conducts regularly scheduled meetings of front office personnel
  • wears the proper uniform at all times and requires all front office employees to do the same
  • upholds the hotel's commitment to hospitality
