Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
- Minimum 6 years of experience in hotel front office management
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite including Excel and Word
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Experience with hotel management software systems
- Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Physical ability to perform duties including standing and walking for extended periods

Job Qualifications
- At least 6 years of progressive experience in hotel or related field or 4-year college degree with 2 years related experience or 2-year college degree with 4 years related experience
- Previous Front Office management experience required
- Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word
- Willingness to work long hours sometimes
- Effective verbal and written communication with all levels
- Strong listening, understanding, and clarifying skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
- Service-oriented and courteous approach to guests and employees
- Willingness to attend hotel required meetings and trainings
- Participation in M.O.D. coverage as required
- Regular attendance complying with scheduling needs

Job Duties
- Ensure attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous service to guests, managers, and employees
- Respond promptly to guest requests, complaints, and problems ensuring satisfaction
- Motivate, coach, counsel, and discipline assigned personnel
- Conduct front-of-house interviews following hiring procedures and support recruiting efforts
- Develop employee morale and provide Rooms Division personnel training
- Maintain professional communication and relationships with managers, employees, and other departments
- Implement all Highgate Hotel policies and house rules
- Monitor service standards sign-off by Rooms division managers
- Oversee training checklist completion for hourly staff
- Manage rooms revenue by monitoring oversold dates
- Tour rooms operating departments daily for feedback
- Ensure compliance with training standards
- Attend daily and monthly meetings
- Support Hyatt programs such as GEM and Gold Passport
- Control expenses and maximize profit using accounting controls
- Ensure SOP compliance
- Conduct public area and guestroom walk-throughs for cleanliness and maintenance
- Coordinate major projects like renovations and equipment changes
- Conduct weekly and monthly financial review meetings
- Perform and ensure adherence to performance review standards
- Monitor labor expenses and approve schedules to maintain budgeted productivity
- Prepare department heads for succession
- Draft annual Rooms Division budget and communications
- Participate in M.O.D. program coverage
- Operate Front Office computer systems including report generation and programming
- Monitor Synergy MMS operations ensuring request follow-ups
- Assist with revenue and occupancy forecasting
- Communicate efficiently and professionally with hotel staff
- Coordinate ongoing implementation of Highgate Hotel service philosophy
- Stay informed about corporate marketing programs and train staff accordingly
- Monitor VIP and special guest services
