Job Requirements

Must secure appropriate Rhode Island mandated gaming licenses
must be able to use physical movements necessary for general office duties including standing, walking, balancing, eye-hand coordination, finger dexterity, handling, wrist motion, sitting, reaching, carrying, vision, hearing, stooping, and twisting
must constantly plan, follow directions, read, write, use math, discriminate colors, work at various tempos, concentrate, remember, and observe details
must use mental alertness to achieve high level of accuracy
must maintain confidential information
must be able to work indoors in a climate-controlled environment
must tolerate exposure to noise, smoke, and odors
must be able to work with others and independently

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Enhances the guest experience by providing exceptional service
responds to inquiries regarding property including directions, players club, entertainment, and hours of operation
relays guest requests to appropriate staff
enters and relays guest messages using the property management system
answers calls promptly and in accordance with standards
follows emergency procedures and acts as a communications link in emergencies
answers fax and email inquiries
confirms and modifies reservations
utilizes sales techniques to maximize occupancy, rates and revenue
greets, registers, assigns rooms, and issues keys to guests
assists guests with requests such as room changes and amenities
posts charges to guest folios
assists in resolving guest complaints
maintains a cash bank, processes payments including cash, checks and credit cards
processes complimentary transactions and submits end-of-shift reports
contacts housekeeping and facilities to address room issues
reviews folios with guests and completes checkouts
adheres to policies and procedures
offers luggage assistance
performs comprehensive checks of reservations
maintains knowledge of marketing promotions and the Sounds of Your Stay program
enters and delivers guest wake-up calls
disseminates information about the property and local area
performs concierge duties as required
processes reservation calls by checking availability, quoting rates, and entering reservations into the system
