Job Requirements

  • Must secure appropriate Rhode Island mandated gaming licenses
  • constantly use physical movements necessary for general office duties including standing, walking, balancing, eye-hand coordination, finger dexterity, handling, wrist motion, sitting, reaching, carrying, vision, hearing, stooping, and twisting
  • constantly plan, follow directions, read, write, use math, discriminate colors, work at various tempos, concentrate, remember, attend to details, use ten key and personal computer
  • constantly use mental alertness to achieve high accuracy in tasks
  • ability to maintain confidential information
  • ability to work mostly indoors in a climate-controlled environment
  • tolerance for exposure to noise, smoke, and odors
  • ability to work with others and independently

Job Duties

  • Enhances the guest experience by providing exceptional service
  • responds to inquiries regarding property details such as directions, players club, entertainment, and venue hours
  • relays guest requests to appropriate staff
  • enters and relays guest messages into the property management system
  • ensures calls are answered promptly following department standards
  • follows emergency procedures and acts as contact link during emergencies
  • answers fax and email inquiries
  • confirms and modifies reservations
  • uses sales techniques to maximize occupancy, rates, and revenue
  • greets, registers, assigns rooms, and issues keys to guests
  • assists guests with room changes and extra amenities
  • posts charges to guest folios
  • helps resolve guest complaints
  • manages cash bank, cash checks, and issues change
  • processes payments by cash, checks, and credit cards
  • completes end-of-shift reports
  • coordinates with Housekeeping and Facilities for room issues
  • reviews folios and performs guest checkouts
  • adheres to policies and procedures
  • offers luggage assistance
  • performs thorough bucket checks of reservations
  • maintains knowledge of marketing promotions and sells the Sounds of Your Stay Program
  • enters and delivers wake-up calls
  • disseminates property and local area information
  • performs concierge duties
  • routes phone calls
  • manages reservation calls and bookings
  • maintains property knowledge and memorabilia
