This opportunity is for a Front Office Associate position at RAYUS Radiology. The Front Office Associate will serve as the first point of contact for patients and referring healthcare providers, playing a key role in scheduling, registration, and insurance verification processes. They will greet and register patients, manage payment plans, answer and direct phone inquiries, and maintain the welcoming appearance of the front office area. Job Duties
- Greet and check-in patients scheduled for imaging services
- register demographic information and process payment plans and copays
- answer phones and handle calls efficiently and friendly
- field calls appropriately for center associates
- act as liaison between technologists and patients waiting for exams
- relay messages regarding scanner status and clinic information
- maintain front office lobby area by organizing supplies and assisting with general office clean up
- order office supplies as needed
- maintain supply of patient information sheets
- push imaging via electronic interfaces
- complete confirmation calls and provide preparation instructions to patients
- fax reports, billing information, and medical release forms as requested
- verify patient insurance
- pre-certify exams with insurance company
- obtain insurance authorization
- use knowledge of insurance carriers and procedures for authorizations
- handle release of information requests following company guidelines
- arrange transportation, interpreters, and hotel accommodations for patients
- enter and submit patient exam orders
- verify orders match exam schedules
- schedule referrals ensuring proper authorizations
- schedule walk-in patients
- process requests for image orders and CDs from referring physicians and patients
- maintain up-to-date accurate database on referring physicians
- perform other duties as assigned
