Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum one year experience in medical reception or related role
  • ability to operate multi-line phone systems and office equipment
  • proficiency in data entry and electronic medical records

Job Duties

  • Answering all incoming phone calls
  • scheduling appointments
  • checking patients in and out
  • providing benefits counseling
  • entering patient demographic and insurance information into electronic medical records
  • verifying appointments and managing the schedule including making, changing, and canceling appointments
  • collecting payments and preparing superbills
  • opening and closing front office daily including balancing finances and preparing deposits
  • maintaining front office statistics such as production booked, recalls, no-shows, and pre-appointments
  • keeping the reception area organized and restocked
  • assisting patients with forms
  • scanning and pulling insurance cards
  • performing other incidental duties as assigned
