Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • One year of school office experience or two years of responsible clerical experience including public contact
  • Knowledge of customer service skills
  • Familiarity with modern office practices, procedures and equipment
  • Proper use and operation of telecommunications systems with appropriate telephone etiquette
  • Letter and report preparation skills
  • Data management knowledge including storage and retrieval
  • Correct English usage including grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary
  • Strong interpersonal skills demonstrating tact, patience, and courtesy
  • Ability to keyboard accurately at an acceptable rate
  • Proficiency in operating computers and relevant software, fax machines, and copiers
  • Ability to create documents including flyers and internal marketing materials
  • Capacity to perform clerical and administrative work independently and effectively
  • Analytical skills for resolving sensitive situations appropriately
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
  • Competence in assembling and compiling data and preparing reports
  • Ability to maintain complex files and records
  • Capability to meet schedules and deadlines
  • Maintain confidentiality and a positive attitude at all times
  • Bilingualism in English and Spanish highly preferred
