As a part-time employee on the Front of House team at Best Pizza & Brew, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding customer service that exceeds guest expectations. This role involves working collaboratively under the guidance of the General Manager and Shift Leads to ensure every customer has a memorable dining experience. The Front of House team includes positions such as Bussers, Food Runners, Cashiers, Expeditors, Bartenders, Servers, Delivery Drivers, and Shift Leads, each contributing uniquely to service excellence.

The position is well suited for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic setting and have a passion for customer interaction and hospitality. You will be expected to perform a variety of duties, from cleaning and resetting tables to taking and delivering accurate food and drink orders with a customer-focused approach. Special attention is given to teamwork, cleanliness, communication, and upholding the restaurant's standards for food safety and service. The role requires flexibility, including availability during weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Job Requirements

  • Possess a service-oriented mindset with outstanding customer service skills
  • Previous experience in hospitality and service industry is a plus
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to stay organized, prioritize, and complete tasks timely in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Be willing and able to support the team to deliver excellent guest experiences
  • Possess and maintain Food Handler Card and RBS Certification
  • Delivery Drivers must possess and maintain active driver license
  • Weekend, evening, and holiday availability is a must
  • Adherence to proper cleaning and handwashing standards

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to handle cash and process payments accurately (for cashiers)

Job Duties

  • Clean and reset tables in the dining area
  • Pre-bus by proactively removing items guests are done with
  • Monitor bus stations by placing dirty dishes in bins and maintaining fresh towels
  • Sweep dining area and manage trash to ensure cleanliness
  • Be alert to accidents or spills and clean promptly
  • Pick up guest orders from the food window and verify items with the Expo
  • Pull numbers from tables when orders are completed
  • Check with the bar for drinks to deliver to guests
  • Identify guests missing items and communicate with Expo and Shift Lead
  • Assist with pre-bussing and provide guests with needed items like napkins and condiments
  • Support team with restocking expo line, drink stations, cashier assistance, and guest drink refills
  • Greet all guests entering and exiting the restaurant
  • Take accurate food and drink orders following company standards
  • Share specials and offer suggestions to enhance guest experience
  • Take accurate pick-up and delivery orders, confirming service area and contact info
  • Ensure all orders are entered into POS and handle payments correctly
  • Assist with restaurant cleanliness and preparation when not taking orders
