Job Description
Chick-fil-A is a renowned fast-food restaurant chain known for its exceptional customer service and high-quality food offerings. Each Chick-fil-A location is independently owned and operated by franchise owners who are deeply committed to the communities they serve. This approach allows for a personalized and community-focused dining experience that sets Chick-fil-A apart from many other fast-food establishments. Customers not only enjoy delicious menu items but also receive friendly, attentive service in a clean and welcoming environment. The company fosters a culture of respect, teamwork, and leadership development, making it a rewarding place to work.
The Team Member role at Chick-fil-A is much more than a typical job. It is an opportunity to grow both personally and professionally while engaging with customers in meaningful ways. Team Members work directly for independent Owner/Operators, gaining valuable life experience through daily interactions and collaborative efforts with their fellow coworkers. This role is full-time and offers competitive pay ranging from $14.00 to $18.00 per hour. Team Members are instrumental in providing each guest with an exceptional dining experience and impeccable Chick-fil-A service by embodying the company’s core values. The restaurant environment is designed to be fun and supportive, encouraging Team Members to develop strong interpersonal skills and foster emotional connections with customers.
In this role, Team Members handle various responsibilities centered on creating a welcoming front-of-house atmosphere. They are trained to smile sincerely, create and maintain eye contact, and speak enthusiastically to guests. These simple yet powerful actions help build positive emotional connections and encourage a friendly atmosphere that keeps guests returning. The position requires multitasking under pressure while maintaining thoroughness and adaptability. Team Members must be dependable, exhibit a strong work ethic, and contribute to a supportive team environment. They need to be comfortable standing for extended periods and capable of lifting 10 to 15 pounds regularly. Flexibility in scheduling is emphasized, including availability for shifts that may occur during the day, night, weekends, or longer 8- to 10-hour shifts. A key benefit of this role is the opportunity to learn firsthand from experienced restaurant leaders and Owners who invest in the growth and development of their Team Members.
Chick-fil-A also provides a wide array of comprehensive benefits, such as scholarship opportunities, paid time off, health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, and participation in a 401(k) retirement plan with matching contributions. Employees enjoy flexible scheduling with the restaurant closed on Sundays, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic. Additional perks include an employee meal during every shift, referral programs, employee discounts, and disability insurance. Overall, this position offers a positive, people-first work environment where Team Members can make a meaningful impact and advance their professional goals while enjoying a competitive salary and excellent benefits.
