Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of five years of total restaurant experience in full-service, high volume environment
  • supervisory experience
  • associates or bachelor's degree in related field preferred
  • responsible alcohol service requirements with TIPS certification preferred
  • responsible for meeting health department sanitation codes and requirements with ServSafe certification preferred
  • moderate computer skills
  • ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • ability to listen effectively, assess situations, identify solutions and gain consensus

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • TIPS certification preferred
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • moderate computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, point of sale systems, and web-based applications
  • ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • strong listening and problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Provide exceptional hospitality to guests and shipmates as prescribed in our RESPECT Service System
  • rotate as shift manager and ensure adherence to cruise scripts, supervision of staff, quality meal service and entertainment
  • gather necessary information from other departments to ensure guest satisfaction including special requests and additional services
  • conduct pre-cruise meetings and communicate necessary information to employees regarding cruise specifics such as seating charts and boarding procedures
  • maintain highest standards of safety for customers and staff
  • maintain highest standards of sanitation in accordance with local regulations and corporate guidelines
  • develop and execute programs that improve the level of service and product quality
