Job Description
Hai Hospitality is a dynamic and innovative restaurant group headquartered in Austin, Texas. With a diverse portfolio of acclaimed restaurants including Uchi, Uchiko, Uchiba, and Loro, the company has steadily expanded its presence across the United States with locations in Austin, Dallas, Houston, Denver, Scottsdale, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Miami. Exciting new openings are planned in Charlotte, Washington D.C., Bethesda, Newport Beach, and additional sites in Miami, further solidifying Hai Hospitality’s reputation as a growing leader in the culinary and hospitality industry. The group emphasizes creativity, passion for food, and a commitment to genuine, thoughtful hospitality. Employees at Hai Hospitality take pride in their craft, work ethic, and the unique experiences they create for guests, supported by a culture of inclusivity and continuous growth.
The Restaurant Front of House Manager role at Uchiko Bethesda, a soon-to-open location, represents a critical leadership position within this expanding company. Candidates may temporarily relocate to an existing Hai Hospitality market for training, with lodging provided, highlighting the company's dedication to thorough preparation and team cohesion. This full-time role offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $80,000 per year and places the manager at the heart of daily dining operations. The Front of House Manager is entrusted with leading the front-of-house service team, fostering staff development, and ensuring that every guest experience meets the group’s high standards for hospitality. Working closely with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager, this position is vital for maintaining a culture of service excellence, empowering team members, and delivering a welcoming environment that defines the Hai Hospitality brand.
The ideal candidate for this position is creative, ambitious, and deeply passionate about food and exceptional hospitality. Hai Hospitality values leaders who serve not only as managers but also as mentors and culture carriers within the team. This role provides an unmatched opportunity for career growth, with many leaders promoted from within and the chance to pursue leadership positions across the company’s national footprint. Beyond the operational responsibilities, the Front of House Manager is an advocate for the team and the guest, championing a respectful, professional, and supportive atmosphere. The successful candidate will thrive in fast-paced environments, excel in multitasking, and demonstrate exceptional communication skills. This role is an excellent fit for individuals eager to contribute to an innovative restaurant group blessed with a collaborative spirit and a commitment to both their staff and guests.
Overall, working with Hai Hospitality means joining a community dedicated to hospitality excellence and employee well-being. With extensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and accident insurance options, an employee assistance program for mental health support, employer-matched 401k plans, dining discounts, and paid vacation, the company invests in its people as much as it does in its food and service quality. The organization also supports family needs through contributions towards medical premiums and offers maternity and paternity leave, recognizing the importance of work-life balance. If you are ready to engage in a meaningful, rewarding leadership role within a celebrated and forward-thinking restaurant group, the Front of House Manager position at Uchiko Bethesda offers a compelling next step in your hospitality career.
