Job Description
Boston's Restaurant and Sports Bar is a vibrant franchisee-operated establishment that combines the warmth of a family-friendly dining environment with the energy and excitement of a lively sports bar. Known for its handcrafted pizzas, scratch-made gourmet meals, craft cocktails, and a variety of local beers, Boston's has established itself as America's Sports Restaurant, a place where communities gather to enjoy sports events and celebrate special occasions such as birthdays, family reunions, coworker happy hours, and fundraisers. The franchisee model means that each Boston's location is independently owned and operated, allowing for unique management styles and varied wage and benefit programs tailored to the local market and team needs. This individual ownership structure fosters a strong community connection and responsiveness to guest preferences and regional trends.
The Front of House Manager position at Boston's Restaurant and Sports Bar plays a critical role in shaping and maintaining the guest experience. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Front of House Manager is charged with overseeing all aspects of front-of-house operations including hiring, training, and developing the servers, hosts, bartenders, and hourly supervisors. This leadership position demands a dynamic individual who can inspire and lead a positive, guest-focused culture while ensuring operational efficiency and financial performance. The manager will be responsible for meeting budgeted financial benchmarks, controlling labor costs, and achieving guest satisfaction goals. Maintaining a spotless, sanitary, and inviting atmosphere for guests is paramount, underscoring the importance of health and safety standards in the role.
This position requires a proactive leader with strong business acumen and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Front of House Manager must excel in scheduling staffing to meet budgetary constraints and service needs, resolving guest issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels, and enforcing alcohol service policies in compliance with licensing authorities and company guidelines. Moreover, this role involves implementing security protocols to ensure the safety of guests and employees alike. The successful candidate will embody a leadership style that combines urgency with a commanding presence, guiding the team through busy periods while fostering an environment of teamwork and positivity. Flexibility in work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is necessary to support the restaurant's operational demands and community engagement. This comprehensive role offers the opportunity to be a central figure in a well-loved dining and entertainment venue, contributing directly to memorable guest experiences and the overall success of the franchisee location.
