The Member Experience Supervisor role at BJ's Wholesale Club is a crucial leadership position responsible for driving the performance and success of member-facing departments within the club, including Front End Leads, Cashiers, and Membership Sales Ambassadors. Reporting closely with the Assistant Club Manager of Member Experience, this role requires strong leadership, business acumen, and a passion for delivering exceptional service that enhances the overall member experience. The Supervisor ensures consistent execution of club policies, adherence to GOLD (Grand Opening Look Daily) standards, and compliance with corporate programs. They are also charged with talent development, team engagement, and fostering a culture that values growth, inclusion, and collaboration. The position demands strategic thinking and the ability to lead through change by effectively communicating and motivating teams to meet or exceed performance metrics.
In this role, the Member Experience Supervisor maintains operational excellence by managing staffing, enforcing policies, driving membership growth and retention, and ensuring daily execution of service standards such as Greeting, Anticipating, and Appreciating members (GAA) alongside Fast, Friendly, Full, Fresh, Clean service elements. The Supervisor leverages reporting tools to monitor team performance, address operational gaps, and provide coaching. The role requires oversight of audit compliance efforts, certification, and training initiatives to uphold the highest standards in the club. Physical job conditions include frequent movement, lifting, and exposure to typical warehouse environments. The compensation range for this position is $20.25 to $25.32 per hour, reflecting factors such as location, experience, and qualifications. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of customer service or sales experience preferred
- Basic computer skills including MS Word, MS Excel, and Email
- Open shift availability
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to maintain all required training and certifications
- Ability to frequently move on hard surfaces and occasionally bend, pull, and reach
- Ability to regularly lift up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift heavier with assistance
- Willingness to work in temperature extremes and noisy environments
- Willingness to handle cleaning agents safely
Job Qualifications
- Demonstrates leadership capabilities including supervising cross-functional teams, training team members, and driving and communicating results
- 2 years customer service or sales experience preferred
- Basic computer knowledge including MS Word, MS Excel, Email
- High school diploma, college degree, and/or big box wholesale, retail, grocery and/or leadership experience preferred
- Open shift availability required
- At least 18 years of age
- Must maintain all training and required certifications

- Lead all Frontline, Membership Services Desk, Membership Sales Ambassador and functions
