The HomeGoods store located at 10340 Midlothian Turnpike in Richmond, VA, is currently seeking passionate individuals to join their team. This role offers a starting pay range of $13.75 to $14.25 per hour, with actual pay depending on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. The position is pivotal in delivering exceptional customer experiences that align with the company's principles and philosophy. The successful candidate will engage and interact with customers, ensuring satisfaction by embodying strong customer service values and upholding the store's operational, merchandising, and loss prevention standards.
The role entails a variety of responsibilities, including accurately processing customer purchases and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, maintaining merchandising standards, and supporting store recovery efforts throughout the day. Employees may be cross-trained to work in multiple store areas to meet business needs effectively. A key aspect of this role is upholding a positive store culture grounded in honesty, integrity, and respect. Additionally, associates contribute to the safe and orderly store environment, support shrink reduction initiatives, and participate in safety awareness programs.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior retail or customer service experience preferred
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- excellent verbal communication skills
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Job Duties
- Role models established customer experience practices with internal and external customers
- supports and embodies a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect
- accurately rings customer purchases/returns and counts change back to customer according to established operating procedures
- promotes credit and loyalty programs
- maintains and upholds merchandising philosophy and follows established merchandising procedures and standards
- accurately processes and prepares merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures and standards
- initiates and participates in store recovery as needed throughout the day
- maintains all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participates in the maintenance/cleanliness of the entire store
- provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback
- adheres to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
- supports and participates in store shrink reduction goals and programs
- participates in safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
- other duties as assigned
