Job Requirements

- associate degree in office assistant or medical assistant preferred
- proficient in use of computer Windows based programs, spreadsheets, word processing, and scheduling programs
- ability to address patient concerns and questions in a positive proactive manner
- ability to handle multiple tasks professionally, organized, and friendly
- excellent communication skills

Job Duties
- Answer phones
- take messages and route to appropriate personnel
- unlock front door and receptionist window at required times
- greet patients, verify insurance information and collect any fees due before patient is seen by a provider
- check patient in and out on computer system including verification of insurance and demographic information
- process office visit charges and patient payment transactions timely according to policy
- complete end-of-day reports and reconcile patient accounts with Site Leader
- prepare for next day appointments by reviewing schedule for accuracy and confirming insurance status
- manage new patient requests by setting up patient packets and charts
- maintain computer chart accuracy
- maintain cleanliness and organization of front desk and office supply cabinet
