This 134-room property boasts stunning views of the Dayton Dragons baseball stadium from its rooftop bar and restaurant and many guestrooms, providing a distinctive guest experience. The position available is for a Front Desk Supervisor, a critical leadership role that ensures daily front desk operations align with the high standards of hotel guest service and operational efficiency set by Shaner Hotels.
The Front Desk Supervisor will play an essential role in maintaining the smooth functioning of the front desk department by directly supervising front desk team members and managing all aspects of front desk activities. This involves enforcing hotel policies, managing guest check-in and check-out experiences, responding efficiently to guest requests and concerns, and maintaining accurate records of room availability and billing details. The supervisor will also be responsible for training and assisting staff to enhance their job performance and promote a culture of hospitality excellence.
This role requires excellent communication skills to interact convincingly with guests, management, and team members and a flexible schedule to cover varied shifts including weekends and holidays. Candidates typically need a high school diploma or equivalent, with some college preferred, and at least one year of experience in a similar role, with supervisory experience being an advantage. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are highly valued as the hotel serves a diverse clientele. Knowledge of local attractions and events is also important to better assist guests in creating memorable experiences.

Job Duties
- Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts
- maintain complete knowledge of hotel features, room types, rates, room availability, and expected arrivals/departures
- handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction
- assist staff with their job functions to ensure optimum service to guests
- monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned areas
- present guest folios and process payments
- adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures
- other duties as assigned
