Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • two to three years supervisory experience preferred
  • at least one year experience in front desk operations
  • basic computer proficiency
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • ability to manage and train staff
  • ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally
  • flexible schedule to accommodate shifts
  • strong organizational skills

  • two to three years of supervisory experience preferred, with at least one year experience at the front desk

Job Duties

  • Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests of hotels
  • verify customers' credit and establish payment methods
  • contact housekeeping or maintenance staff when guests report problems
  • make and confirm reservations
  • issue room keys and provide escort instructions to bellhops
  • keep records of room availability and guests' accounts manually or using computers
  • post charges for rooms, food, liquor, or telephone calls to ledgers
  • compute bills, collect payments, and make change for guests
  • record guest comments or complaints and refer to managers as necessary
  • answer inquiries about hotel services, guest registration, and travel directions or make recommendations on shopping, dining, or entertainment
  • clean and maintain lobby and common areas including restocking supplies and watering plants
  • plan, schedule, and supervise the work of other employees
  • advise housekeeping staff when rooms are vacated and ready for cleaning
  • assist guests with check-in and check-out plus all special requests in accordance with SOPs
  • assist in training new associates and maintain continuous training of agents as cashiers
  • ensure staff familiarity with hotel emergency procedures
  • work with desk agents to balance end-of-shift transactions and complete shift checklists
  • smile and greet guests graciously, handling questions and problems within empowerment guidelines
