The role of Front Desk Supervisor at Concord Hospitality is a pivotal leadership position central to the hotel’s operations and guest experiences. As the senior member of the front desk team, the supervisor ensures that every guest receives outstanding service throughout their arrival, stay, and departure. This position requires proactive engagement with guests and associates alike, fostering a warm, welcoming atmosphere while upholding the high standards associated with the Concord brand. The supervisor plays an integral role in coordinating daily front desk activities, managing reservations, and leading the team to exceed guest expectations through excellent communication and efficient operations. Responsibilities for this role include not only guest service and operational management but also staff training, performance oversight, and collaboration with other departments such as housekeeping. The supervisor is responsible for ensuring lobby and desk areas are maintained and presentable, managing room inventory in conjunction with management, and adhering to all emergency and security protocols. Flexibility is key, as the position requires occasional coverage of employee shifts to maintain seamless hotel operations during unforeseen absences. Job Duties

  • Provide the highest quality of service to guests at all times
  • Check guests in and out efficiently and in a friendly manner
  • Handle guest mail and messages with professionalism and accuracy
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of hotel staff, room locations, rates, amenities, and selling strategies
  • Take reservations and manage room blocks and special requests
  • Answer switchboard calls following proper telephone etiquette standards
  • Monitor room availability and assist AGM/GM with yield management and restrictions
  • Keep the lobby and desk area clean and presentable
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of emergency and security procedures
  • Discuss staff performance discrepancies and training needs with General Manager and attend and lead staff huddles
  • Provide hands-on support and guidance to ensure the team achieves outstanding results
  • Train and provide guidance to staff
  • Assign rooms to be cleaned by housekeeping and aide GM in inspecting rooms
  • Assist with housekeeping in rooms as needed and daily completion of laundry duties and public space needs
  • Flexible for covering employee shifts as needed to ensure operational continuity in the event of unexpected absences
  • Manage inventory, build relationships with vendors and guests, and foster teamwork
  • Perform other assigned duties
