This position is a Front Desk Supervisor role offering an exciting opportunity to be part of a world-class team providing exceptional guest services. As the first point of contact, the Front Desk team plays a crucial role in shaping guest impressions. The Front Desk Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the front desk, ensuring the delivery of outstanding service while maintaining high standards consistent with the Fairmont Hotels & Resorts brand. Reporting to the Director of Front Office, this leadership role involves coaching, directing, and inspiring front desk staff to provide excellent customer service, fostering a welcoming, professional, and efficient environment.

The supervisor ensures all front office team members are knowledgeable about the hotel’s products and services, maintaining an updated understanding to best assist guests. The role requires establishing strong rapports with guests and working collaboratively with other hotel departments to prioritize guest satisfaction and smooth operational flow. Supervisory duties include reviewing arrival reports, VIP guest preparations, promoting up-sell programs, and implementing continuous learning through training initiatives. The supervisor also plays a significant role in financial processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous front desk or hospitality experience preferred
  • ability to lead and motivate a team
  • strong communication skills
  • proficiency in English, additional languages beneficial
  • ability to maintain professionalism and a positive attitude
  • availability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • basic computer skills and familiarity with hotel management software

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience is an asset
  • excellent team leading and management skills
  • fluent and confident in English, additional national and international languages are an asset
  • excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and leadership qualities
  • strong guest service orientation and training skills preferred
  • maintains professional and pleasant body language
  • degree or diploma preferred in hospitality and/or tourism management

Job Duties
