Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare or administrative role preferred
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records like EPIC
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • Availability to work full-time Monday through Friday day shifts
  • Commitment to patient confidentiality and professionalism

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Experience with EPIC or similar electronic health record systems preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Knowledge of healthcare administrative procedures
  • Basic accounting or cash handling experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively with medical and administrative teams

Job Duties

  • Proactively screens patients for pre-certifications, authorizations, and educates them on financial policies
  • Manages front desk patient check-in and check-out, verifies demographics, collects co-payments, and handles paperwork
  • Answers, screens, and routes phone calls from physicians, nurses, and administrative staff
  • Completes patient scheduling activities ensuring timely appointments
  • Documents patient information in EPIC for comprehensive clinical communication
  • Reconciles payments, balances, and closes cash drawer daily
  • Maintains patient experience and safety by following clinical policies and protocols
