Gastro Health places a strong emphasis on fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment where employees are encouraged to grow their careers and contribute to the mission of outstanding patient care.
The company offers a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees and prides itself on diversity and inclusion as an Equal Opportunity Employer, not discriminating based on race, color, gender, disability, veteran status, military status, religion, age, creed, national origin, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, or genetic information.
The Front Desk Representative role at Gastro Health is a full-time position that offers a balanced work-life schedule, with Monday through Friday shifts and no evening or weekend work. The company highlights its rapid growth, providing ample opportunities for career advancement within the organization. This role is crucial as it is the initial point of contact for patients, responsible for greeting and assisting them in a professional and friendly manner to ensure a smooth and positive visit experience.
As a Front Desk Representative, you will play an essential role in managing patient interactions and administrative duties to maintain an efficient office environment. Your responsibilities will include using the practice management system to create provider records, scan and maintain medical and insurance documents, and verifying patient information to ensure accuracy. You will confirm that patients have current referrals, verify insurance benefits and eligibility, and handle co-payments and outstanding balances with efficiency and care.
This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and neatness of the lobby and reception areas, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for patients and visitors. Experience with electronic medical record systems such as Allscripts or Epic is considered advantageous but not mandatory. Being bilingual, especially in Spanish or Portuguese, is a plus that can enhance patient communication.
By joining Gastro Health, you become part of a team that values compassion, respect, and excellence in healthcare delivery. The company also offers unique employee perks beyond traditional benefits, such as discounts on concerts, travel, movies, and more through the Tickets at Work program. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a career in a healthcare setting where they can make a meaningful impact on patient care while enjoying a supportive and rewarding work environment.
