At America's Best, the role of the Receptionist is vital to the smooth operation of the store and the delivery of excellent customer service. As the initial point of contact, Receptionists warmly greet and welcome customers, setting a friendly and professional tone from the moment they arrive. They manage patient records meticulously, ensuring all information is up-to-date and organized, and coordinate appointment schedules to maintain efficient patient flow throughout the day. Receptionists serve as the connective tissue of the store's operations, providing prompt and courteous service whether engaging with customers in person or over the phone. Key responsibilities include answering and forwarding incoming calls according to National Vision protocols, processing managed care plans, and obtaining necessary documentation from insurance companies. They also play an essential role in maintaining a clean and organized reception area, managing mail and deliveries, and assisting with inventory of office supplies. Furthermore, Receptionists participate in mandatory communication meetings to stay aligned with store operations and contribute to continuous improvement. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years related experience or training preferred
- Experience handling multiple phone lines preferred

Job Duties
- Ensures high quality customer service while following all safety protocols
- Ensures a smooth flow of customers through the store
- Answers, screens, and forwards incoming phone calls in accordance with National Vision protocol
- Processes and understands managed care plans while obtaining document information from the insurance company as needed
- Provides customers basic and accurate information
- Schedules and confirms appointments, follow-up visits and classes
- Files all patient records daily and pulls patient files for the next day's appointments
- Checks order status and notifies customers when orders are in or of any delays
- Keeps reception area tidy and presentable with all necessary materials
- Receives, sorts, distributes daily mail/deliveries and maintains inventory of office supplies
- Participates in regularly scheduled mandatory communication meetings
