Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Medical assistant experience
- Minimum of 2 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records systems
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask and remain organized
- Ability to sit for extended periods and use computer and phone
- Occasional walking and standing
- Ability to lift or move up to 10 pounds
- Completion of medical clearance requirements including Hepatitis B vaccination, Pneumococcal screening, and Tuberculosis screening
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Medical assistant experience preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Publisher
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
- Strong communication skills
- Friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Answer and route incoming calls using a multi-line phone system
- Greet and check in/out patients
- Enter accurate insurance and patient information into the electronic health system
- Collect copays, balances, and deductibles
- reconcile daily payments
- Assist with the patient flow in coordination with medical assistants
- Provide directions and general information to patients and visitors
