The Front Desk Receptionist will be responsible for a variety of administrative and communication tasks that support both patient care and office efficiency. Responsibilities include greeting patients warmly and directing them appropriately, managing appointment scheduling and copay collections with accuracy, handling paperwork and data entry related to patient files, and professional communication with patients, healthcare providers, and administrative teams. The role also involves maintaining an organized and welcoming reception area, managing office supplies and equipment, and taking on special projects as needed to support the overall success of the facility.

Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 1 year of receptionist experience preferably in a healthcare setting
  • proficiency in ms word outlook excel and emr systems preferably allscripts
  • excellent communication skills
  • strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • ability to work both independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • greet and direct visitors with a smile providing clear instructions and ensuring they feel comfortable and informed
  • handle copay collections appointment scheduling paperwork preparation and reminder phone calls with precision and care
  • keep patient files up-to-date and balanced ensuring all information is entered correctly
  • answer calls professionally screen and take messages and address caller needs with a focus on exceptional customer service
  • assist with computer input typing scheduling form preparation correspondence data compilation and various projects to support the office team
  • maintain office equipment and supplies keeping the reception area clean and orderly
  • take on additional tasks and projects as needed contributing to the overall success of the team
  • create a lasting positive impression on every patient who walks through our doors
