Job Requirements

  • Ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality
  • Knowledge of basic office procedures and office equipment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality on student and personnel matters
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain professionalism with employees, families, and visitors

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office applications, especially Outlook and Word
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Knowledge of office procedures and equipment operation
  • Demonstrated professionalism and courtesy
  • Experience as a receptionist or in a similar role preferred
  • Experience in a high school setting preferred
  • Associate's degree preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Job Duties

  • Greets individuals entering the office and directs them to their destination
  • Operates multiple-line telephone to answer, screen, or forward calls
  • Schedules appointments and maintains appointment calendars
  • Transmits information and documents as requested by administrators
  • Handles complaints and refers them to appropriate personnel
  • Files documents and records per human resources staff direction
  • Provides district information to callers and visitors
  • Performs administrative support tasks including proofreading, transcribing, and operating office equipment
  • Receives, sorts, distributes, and prepares mail and deliveries
  • Assembles onboarding packets and takes photos of new employees
  • Maintains conference rooms, kitchenette, and reception area
  • Locks and unlocks entry doors at shift start and end
  • Maintains updated staff lists and breakroom postings
  • Schedules workspace and equipment and prepares attendance lists
  • Submits and follows up on workshop and conference requests
  • Monitors office equipment and orders supplies
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
