Job Description
Columbia Surgery Center is a dynamic and fast-paced Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) specializing in multi-specialty surgical care. Dedicated to delivering high-quality patient experiences and exceptional medical care, Columbia Surgery Center continuously strives to create a welcoming and efficient environment for patients and their families. The center operates with a commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety, and service, ensuring each individual receives personalized attention and the highest standards of treatment. As an integral part of the healthcare community, Columbia Surgery Center works closely with physicians, staff, and vendors to maintain a smooth and effective workflow that benefits every step of the patient journey.
The Front Desk Receptionist at Columbia Surgery Center plays a crucial role in this process, acting as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. This position requires a highly dependable and detail-oriented individual who is personable and professional. The receptionist is responsible for admitting patients, managing paperwork, updating patient information within the system, and collecting payments following office procedures. Beyond administrative tasks, this role involves coordinating scheduling for procedures and anesthesia coverage, handling incoming calls, and assisting with business office duties such as chart preparation. In some cases, the receptionist may need to provide coverage at different locations, requiring adaptability and a strong team-oriented attitude.
This full-time position operates on a Monday to Friday daytime schedule, offering a balanced work-life routine with no nights, weekends, or holiday shifts. The starting pay range for this role is between $20 and $25 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Working at Columbia Surgery Center means joining a committed healthcare team supported by United Surgical Partners International (USPI), a national leader in ambulatory surgical care delivery. USPI fosters an inclusive culture that celebrates diversity and empowers employees through comprehensive benefits, staff development opportunities, and a collaborative work environment.
Employees at Columbia Surgery Center benefit from a supportive atmosphere that values efficiency, communication, and quality care. The organization prioritizes the professional growth and well-being of its workforce, offering competitive compensation alongside a robust benefits package. Joining the team means contributing to a vital healthcare mission that makes a meaningful difference in patients' lives through compassionate and precise service. This opportunity is ideal for candidates who are driven to work in a healthcare office environment, possess excellent communication and organizational skills, and are committed to providing outstanding patient service every day.
