Job Description

Midwest Physicians Surgery Center is a premier outpatient surgical facility dedicated to providing high-quality care in a service-oriented environment. Renowned for its commitment to excellence and patient satisfaction, the center offers a wide array of surgical procedures and prides itself on efficient, compassionate care that prioritizes the patient experience. With a focus on innovation and continuous improvement, the surgery center embraces advanced medical technologies and best practices, ensuring both patients and physicians receive the highest standard of care. Positioned as a leading healthcare provider in the Midwest region, the center supports an inclusive culture that respects individual differences and fosters collaborative teamwork among its staff, patients, and visiting physicians.

The Front Desk Receptionist role at Midwest Physicians Surgery Center is a critical position designed to facilitate seamless patient intake and communication. This role entails welcoming patients and visitors, managing patient check-ins for same-day surgeries, and preparing charts for upcoming surgical cases. The receptionist serves as the first point of contact, interfacing directly with patients, their families, and healthcare providers both in person and via telephone. The role requires meticulous attention to detail to collect estimated patient liabilities based on insurance verification and to maintain accurate records. Working in an environment free from weekends, holidays, and on-call duties, this position offers a work-life balance conducive to personal well-being.

The successful candidate will play an essential role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations at the surgery center's front desk. Their duties will include greeting patients courteously, addressing queries, coordinating with medical and administrative staff, and managing confidential patient information in compliance with medical regulations. The ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and the knowledge of medical terminology, insurance plans, and office procedures is vital. This role requires an individual who exemplifies excellent office etiquette and basic math skills necessary for collecting patient payments and managing schedules. Emphasizing teamwork, professionalism, and a commitment to patient-centered service, the position offers opportunities for professional growth and development.

As part of USPI, Midwest Physicians Surgery Center is dedicated to its employees' health and well-being, offering competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package. The company values balanced and well-rounded employees and supports professional advancement through education assistance and career development opportunities. Benefits such as health, dental, and vision coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, and employee assistance programs ensure that the team is well supported in both their professional and personal lives, contributing to a fulfilling and secure work environment.
