Job Description

The Surgery Center of Scottsdale is a premier ambulatory surgical facility dedicated to providing high-quality, service-oriented medical care. Located in Scottsdale, this health care center is equipped with five operating rooms and advanced technology to support a wide range of specialty procedures. The specialties include bone marrow biopsies, general surgery, gynecology, ENT, ophthalmology, orthopedic surgery, pain management, podiatry, retina surgery, and urology. The center prides itself in fostering a patient-centered environment where health and care are inseparable, ensuring each patient receives personalized attention during their surgical procedures.

As part of the USPI network, the Surgery Center of Scottsdale benefits from a commitment to clinical excellence and efficiency in ambulatory care, supporting surgeons and their teams with modern facilities and comprehensive resources. USPI is renowned for partnering with physicians and healthcare systems across the United States to provide first-class ambulatory services, making it a leader in outpatient surgical care. The company promotes an inclusive culture that celebrates diversity and supports the contributions of every individual. This approach strengthens the organization and enhances the ability to meet the needs of a diverse patient and physician population.

We are currently seeking a full-time Front Desk Receptionist to join our dynamic team. This role is critical as it serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment. The receptionist will be responsible for interfacing with patients, families, physicians, vendors, and other staff members. Key responsibilities include admitting patients, processing paperwork, updating patient information in the system, collecting balances due, and managing funds according to office procedures. The receptionist will also handle incoming phone calls, assist with chart preparation, and perform various business office duties necessary to support the smooth operation of the surgery center.

This position demands a reliable, dedicated, and personable individual with strong attention to detail. The Front Desk Receptionist must maintain professionalism at all times and effectively coordinate with office personnel to schedule procedures and anesthesia coverage. Flexibility is also important, as the role may require floating to other locations for staff coverage when needed.

Employees at USPI are valued not only for their skills but also for their well-being. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, along with paid time off, paid holidays, and a 401k retirement plan. Additional benefits include health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, employee assistance programs, and voluntary benefits like pet insurance, legal insurance, accident and critical illness coverage, and more. USPI prioritizes work-life balance and supports its employees in managing life’s daily stresses.

Candidates for the Front Desk Receptionist position should be committed to maintaining the high standards that the Surgery Center of Scottsdale and USPI uphold in patient care and business operations. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive in a healthcare environment and are looking to contribute to a reputable, patient-focused surgical center.
