This opportunity is for a full-time Front Desk Receptionist position located at the San Ramon Clinic with a competitive pay range of 21 to 23 USD per hour. The role is essential to the practice's daily operations, ensuring that patients experience a smooth and welcoming process from the moment they enter the clinic. As the initial point of contact, the Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for accurately registering patients, handling insurance information, collecting necessary payments, and managing scheduling with precision. This position also requires excellent organizational skills as it involves coordinating authorizations, interpreters, and transportation for appointments, in addition to managing patient communications effectively. The receptionist plays a key role in maintaining the flow of the clinic by overseeing the waiting area, promptly attending to patient needs, and communicating any delays involving medical staff.

The role demands a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail, with daily responsibilities including scanning important documents, sorting incoming faxes, maintaining patient records, and completing paperwork related to financial policies and privacy notices. In addition, the receptionist will occasionally need to travel to the Watsonville location as required by the clinic. Job Duties

  • Accurately registering patients by collecting required data, registering insurance, collecting co-pays, co-insurance, surgery deposits, payment on accounts
  • scanning IDs and insurance cards, printing and obtaining signatures on all required documents
  • scheduling appointments accurately with correct physician
  • responsible for obtaining any authorizations, interpreters or transportation for appointments that require them
  • responding to alert notes that apply to front desk
  • completing daily paperwork such as data details, financial policies & privacy notices should be entered on a daily basis and expire alert notes if the task has been completed
  • scanning documents daily such as data details, financial policies, privacies, authorizations, referrals and miscellaneous documents
  • sorting incoming faxes from the fax machine, delegate to the correct person or department
  • overseeing the waiting room to assure all patients are attended to within a reasonable amount of time
  • informing all patients if MD/PA/NP is running behind
  • travel to Watsonville required
  • additional duties as assigned
