Job Description

America's Best is a prominent part of National Vision, one of the largest optical retailers in the United States. The America’s Best brand continues to expand rapidly, now boasting over 1000 stores nationwide. Unlike many optical providers, each America’s Best location uniquely combines the essential elements of eyewear and eye care into a seamless and affordable experience for customers. This fusion allows the company to offer high-quality eye care services alongside a wide selection of eyewear options under one roof, all at a single low price. Being a part of National Vision means adhering to a mission that everyone deserves to see their best in order to live their best. The company is committed to making quality eye care and eyewear more affordable and accessible to the communities it serves.

At America’s Best, the Receptionist role serves as a critical front-line position and the face of the store. Receptionists are entrusted with warmly greeting and welcoming customers as soon as they enter the store, ensuring they feel valued and supported from the outset. This role helps maintain an organized and efficient flow of patient appointments, as well as keeping patient records precise and up to date. Receptionists act as the operational glue, helping keep daily activities on track by providing prompt, courteous, and professional customer service both in person and over the phone. This position provides a vital link between customers and the medical and retail staff, ensuring smooth communication and customer satisfaction.

Receptionists at America’s Best are responsible for handling multiple tasks that include answering and screening phone calls according to company protocols, processing and understanding managed care plans, scheduling appointments and follow-up visits, and ensuring all patient files are filed accurately each day. They are also tasked with handling customer inquiries regarding order status and delays, maintaining an orderly reception area, and managing office supplies and mail distribution. To thrive in this role, strong organizational skills, the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish, and a robust commitment to customer service excellence are essential.

This is a full-time position with a competitive hourly wage of $20.47. National Vision supports its employees with a comprehensive benefits package designed to enhance both professional and personal growth. Alongside monetary compensation, employees receive access to retirement plans with company match, paid sick time, parental leave, employee discounts on eyewear, and opportunities for educational advancement including scholarships and training programs. The company prioritizes internal promotions and emphasizes long-term career development, making this not just a job but a pathway to a rewarding career. Additionally, National Vision fosters an inclusive and diverse work environment, ensuring equal opportunity for all qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex, or other legally protected characteristics. Join America’s Best and contribute to a team focused on helping people see clearly, live fully, and grow professionally.
