Renowned for its rich maritime heritage and commitment to fostering a welcoming community for boating enthusiasts, the club offers an exclusive environment where members can enjoy a wide range of social, recreational, and dining experiences. Established as a cornerstone of San Francisco's yachting community, the club provides members and their guests with premium amenities including a banquet facility, harbor access, dining rooms, private event spaces, and youth programs. As a member-centric organization, the San Francisco Yacht Club values exceptional service and strives to create memorable experiences that uphold the club's esteemed reputation.
We are currently seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Lead Attendant for our Front Desk and Ship's Store. This part-time role is integral to ensuring smooth and welcoming interactions between members, guests, and club staff. The typical schedule is Thursday through Sunday from 5pm to 9pm, although flexibility may be required to meet the club's evolving needs, including weekends, holidays, and special events. The Lead Attendant is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service by warmly greeting members and guests, managing membership verification and clubhouse access, and answering inquiries related to the club's facilities, dining reservations, and events.
In addition to front desk duties, this position includes managing the Ship's Store operations, which involves merchandising, sales, monthly inventory counts, and designing attractive store displays and promotional materials. Collaborative communication with club management and staff is essential to maintain a seamless flow of information and support event marketing efforts. Familiarity or proficiency with Northstar Club Management Software, Canva, or other graphic design platforms is a desirable asset to enhance these responsibilities. The role also demands a proactive approach to maintaining a safe and organized work environment within the clubhouse.
This position offers a unique opportunity for an individual passionate about hospitality and community engagement to contribute to the club’s success. The ideal candidate will exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, an ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to creating a friendly and professional atmosphere for all visitors. Physical requirements include frequent standing, bending, stooping, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. CPR and First Aid certification are considered beneficial for this role. If you are enthusiastic about delivering high-quality service and enjoy working in a prestigious club setting, the San Francisco Yacht Club welcomes your application to join their dedicated team.
