The role of Front Desk Receptionist at United Urology Group is essential in delivering exceptional customer service and operational support within the office setting. This full-time position offers a pay range of $18.50 to $21.00 per hour, with the exact salary determined by the candidate's experience, education, skills, and geographic location. The receptionist acts as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, creating a positive and professional impression of the practice. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, managing patient paperwork, handling co-pays and payment reconciliations, and ensuring accurate entry of patient demographics and clinical information into electronic health records and practice management systems. The role requires a caring and compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced medical environment. Additionally, the receptionist will coordinate follow-up procedures, assist with the Phreesia registration system, and maintain HIPAA compliance at all times. Travel to other practice sites within a reasonable area may be required as part of job duties. This position is key to ensuring smooth front office operations and contributing to the overall positive patient experience at United Urology Group.

Job Requirements

  • minimum high school diploma or GED
  • minimum two years of front office experience, preferably in a medical setting
  • one to two years of customer service experience
  • ability to travel to other sites as necessary

Job Duties

  • create a positive and professional first impression of the practice and show patients a we care attitude
  • schedule appointments and assist with scheduling additional testing directed by the physician
  • compile all required patient paperwork for the day’s appointments
  • collect co-pays and past balances at check-in and enter them into the batch for the day in practice management
  • review for completeness and accuracy and enter required patient demographics and clinical information into practice management and EHR
  • scan patient’s driver’s license and insurance cards front and back into Ntierprise
  • ensure all required referrals are obtained, scanned into the EMR, and linked to the day’s appointment
  • reconcile payment batches at the end of every day and turn them in to the site manager
  • schedule follow-up procedures and coordinate local ASC cases
  • assist patients with the completion of the Phreesia registration system
  • travel to other sites within a reasonable geographic region as required
