The role being offered is within the Ears, Nose & Throat department of Medical Center Health System. The position is full-time with a day shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. It serves as a primary point of contact and referral for patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of patient appointments and communications. This job entails performing clerical duties focused on managing patient and provider schedules to maintain an organized and effective healthcare environment. As a direct patient liaison, the successful candidate must provide a warm, calm, and professional atmosphere for patients along with their family and friends, specifically in potentially stressful and adverse situations. Experience with the ProCare computer system is essential, as the role involves patient registration and the meticulous handling of patient data entry through various computer functions. The position requires excellent telephone communication skills and the ability to remain patient and composed under pressure while handling multiple tasks. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- one to three years experience in general office capacity
- experience working with the ProCare computer system
- excellent telephone communication skills
- ability to maintain composure under pressure
- ability to read printed material and computer screens
- ability to sit for extended periods
- maturity and dedicated attitude
