Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of insurance plans including Commercial, Medicaid, Medicare and Marketplace
  • At least 1 year of Erie experience in a PBA role or similar position
  • Prior staff supervision experience is beneficial
  • Knowledge of medical/dental office computer applications
  • Computer applications experience in Microsoft Office products

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Train, coach and develop Patient Benefit Advocates and Patient Benefit Advocate II staff members
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager/PBA Supervisor to ensure front desk processes are followed
  • Oversee the intake and assessment of patients for insurance and sliding fee scale discounts
  • Perform monthly and corporate performance reviews
  • Meet monthly with PBA team to discuss performance, attendance, challenges and growth opportunities
  • Ensure accurate scheduling, approve timesheets and PTO requests for PBA staff
  • Perform other duties as required
