Job Requirements
- High school diploma minimum
- Medical experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Proficient with EHR and scheduling software
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to operate computers and calculators
- Physical ability to walk stairs
- Willingness to learn trauma-informed practices

Job Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Medical experience is required
- Interpersonal skills to create a pleasant and attentive experience
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures preferred
- Organizational skills to keep accurate records
- Time management skills to prioritize and complete tasks
- Ability to develop clinical knowledge and learn core solutions
- Patience and listening skills for consumer interaction
- Knowledge of electronic health records and scheduling software
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet multiple deadlines
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
- High school diploma minimum, Associate degree preferred
Job Duties
- Handle all agency incoming calls and interface with the community
- Initiate referrals and create client profiles in EHR system
- Maintain appointment schedules of physicians and clinical staff
- Greet clients, visitors, and vendors providing direction professionally
- Collect and update patient medical history and insurance information
- Scan, fax, and upload documents within EHR system
- Retrieve and distribute incoming faxes and mail
- Stamp outgoing mail
- Organize and manage multiple tasks with time management skills
- Schedule initial and follow-up appointments
- Verify insurance and facilitate internal referrals
- Update Excel spreadsheets and perform tasks in Word
- Interact positively with clients who may be stressed
- Contact consumers to confirm appointment attendance
- Communicate pertinent consumer information to responsible parties
- Contact pharmacies and hospitals for consumer medical information
- Inform clinicians immediately of crisis situations
- Establish and maintain initial charts including authorization and consent
- Medical records retrieval and submission
- Input intake data accurately in the EHR system
