Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year receptionist experience
  • Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and EMR systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Capable of functioning effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of receptionist experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and EMR systems, preferably Allscripts
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong ability to prioritize, multi-task, and pay close attention to detail
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Capable of working independently in a high-stress environment with strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Greet and direct visitors with a smile, providing clear instructions
  • Handle copay collections, appointment scheduling, paperwork preparation, and reminder phone calls
  • Keep patient files up-to-date and balanced
  • Answer calls professionally, screen and take messages
  • Assist with computer input, typing, scheduling, form preparation, correspondence, data compilation, and various projects
  • Maintain office equipment and supplies, keeping the reception area clean and orderly
  • Take on additional tasks and projects as needed
  • Create a lasting, positive impression on every patient
