Job Requirements

  • high school graduate or general education degree or work equivalent
  • minimum 2 years experience in rooms division management
  • computer skills required
  • experience with hotel information systems required

Job Duties

  • lead and mentor front office employees
  • maintain knowledge of front office policies and procedures
  • manage hotel features, services, room types, rates, and promotions
  • conduct daily walk-throughs of front office areas ensuring staffing, cleanliness, and service quality
  • prepare departmental financial and payroll forecasts
  • monitor and address guest comments
  • oversee security of public areas
  • establish and manage supply par levels
  • provide training and professional development for staff
  • participate in interviewing and selection process
  • create and sustain a quality professional work environment
  • conduct performance evaluations
  • anticipate and respond to guest and employee needs
  • promote positive guest relations
  • facilitate pre-shift meetings
  • lead departmental strategic planning sessions
