The Front Desk Greeter position at Shell Federal Credit Union plays a crucial role in shaping the first impressions of visitors, members, and vendors. This role involves maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor while ensuring compliance with banking regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act. The greeter is the welcoming face of the credit union, responsible for greeting every visitor with warmth, offering direction, and managing visitor check-ins through the Better Lobby system. The role demands attentiveness to the branch environment by ensuring the lobby is presentable and secure, including security protocols such as requesting the removal of sunglasses and hats.

The position requires flexibility to work 40 hours per week with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 5:45 p.m., and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Front Desk Greeter must be willing to work overtime when needed and adapt to a rotating schedule, including opening and closing duties. Additionally, the greeter supports branch operations by assisting with administrative tasks, updating marketing materials, managing supplies, and participating in special events like popcorn days.

Safety and compliance are key responsibilities, including adherence to Shell FCU policies and ongoing training requirements. The role also involves collaboration with the management team to communicate daily reminders and productivity updates. The greeter may assist with training new greeters and support other branch locations, highlighting the dynamic and team-oriented nature of the position.

Job Duties

  • Consistently meet all Shell FCU service commitments
  • maintain knowledge of and comply with applicable rules and regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act
  • complete annual training sessions as scheduled
  • greet and welcome each member, visitor, and vendor with a smile
  • sign members into Better Lobby and offer estimated wait times
  • ensure removal of sunglasses and hats for security
  • check in on members and offer water or coffee
  • maintain awareness of lobby and branch surroundings
  • perform assigned administrative and clerical duties
  • work 40 hours per week plus overtime as needed
  • work rotating opening, closing and Saturday schedules
  • collaborate with management to send reminders and daily productivity information
  • update marketing materials
  • handle Credit Union popcorn days including machine operation and supply maintenance
  • keep branch lobby clean and presentable
  • fill check stand supplies and marketing material
  • receive and distribute packages
  • assist in training new greeters
  • support daily branch responsibilities including opening and closing procedures and coin machine balancing
  • assist with SDB vault opening, closing, and inventory audit
  • assist other branch locations if needed
  • perform additional assigned duties
