Job Description
Silver New American Brasserie is an acclaimed upscale polished casual restaurant brand with locations in Bethesda and Washington DC. As part of the Silver Diner family, it stands at the forefront of contemporary dining experiences, offering a unique fusion of flavors from around the world while emphasizing fresh, sustainable ingredients sourced from over 15 local farm partners. Established as a leader in the casual dining segment, Silver prides itself on delivering an elevated dining atmosphere that bridges the gap between traditional tablecloth restaurants and fast food establishments. This approach is reflected in its award-winning fresh and local menu, which features surprising flexitarian and healthy options designed to cater to a diverse and discerning clientele.
Known for its polished casual setting, Silver New American Brasserie combines elegant hospitality with cutting-edge culinary trends, ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable and superior dining experience. The restaurant has earned numerous accolades, including recognition by the Washington Post as one of the 'Most Diverse Places to Work,' a spot on Full Service Restaurant Magazine's '20 Full Service Restaurants to Watch,' and the prestigious 2020 TDn2K Best Practices Award for the Family Dining Category. These honors reflect Silver's commitment to excellence not only in its food and beverage offerings but also in its company culture and leadership practices.
Silver’s mission is clear: to be the best they can be by focusing on their people, their product, their guests, and their growth. The company emphasizes that its people are the most precious resource and that its success depends on their personal and professional success. Silver is dedicated to providing a workplace where employees are empowered and encouraged to thrive, leading the industry in internal promotions. More than 60 percent of managers and all general managers and area directors have been promoted from within the company, underscoring its commitment to career growth.
The Front Desk Coordinator role at Silver is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and eager to make a positive impact. Front Desk Coordinators serve as the warm, friendly face of the brand, setting the tone for guests' visits by delivering elegant and elevated hospitality from the moment guests arrive. They play a critical role in creating memorable experiences, ensuring that all guest requests are met with enthusiasm and a commitment to exceeding expectations.
This role offers both full-time and part-time positions with flexible shift options across first, second, third, and weekend shifts. Candidates must be energetic, friendly, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, vibrant environment. The job includes being available on weekends and holidays, reflecting the restaurant's busy schedule. Compensation includes an hourly wage plus tip pooling, providing an attractive earning potential.
Silver complements its competitive compensation with a comprehensive benefits package and various perks designed to support employee well-being and growth. This includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401K plan, and access to an Employee Assistance Program. Employees also benefit from referral bonus programs, meal discounts, gym membership discounts, work shoe discounts, and more. Opportunities for career advancement are significant, with pathways to become a trainer, supervisor, or manager.
Being part of Silver means joining one of the busiest restaurants in America and growing with a company that is a leader in the polished casual dining category. Silver fosters a warm and caring atmosphere that promotes both personal and professional development in an environment where everyone is equipped to achieve their best. This culture of excellence and empowerment makes Silver an outstanding choice for those seeking a meaningful career in hospitality rather than just a job.
